Derek Adams felt his "excellent" Bantams picked up a deserved three points, following this afternoon's victory at Swindon Town.

The Bantams picked up their first away win in two months at The County Ground, with goals from Caolan Lavery, Levi Sutton and Theo Robinson sinking the Robins.

Adams was pleased to return to winning ways and felt his side were good value for the victory.

He said: “It was a really good victory for us. The performance over the 90 minutes was excellent.

“We were clinical with the goals and defended really well, and are just delighted with the 3-1 win.

“Over the afternoon, we thoroughly deserved it.”

Adams made two changes to his starting 11, with club captain Niall Canavan and striker Lavery coming in for Callum Cooke and Charles Vernam.

He felt the change in personnel and system helped City adapt to the challenge Swindon would provide, and was happy with those who came into the side.

He added: “We played in a different way, and we had to do that as we knew what Swindon were all about.

“They actually changed their formation for the first time since they lost to Port Vale. They had won three and drawn three in the last 6 games.

“Swindon respected us. We just looked at the game and thought how can we stop their best players playing and, how could we get at their weaknesses.”

Adams' Bantams are back in action next Saturday, when entertaining top-of-the-table Forest Green Rovers. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.
