Derek Adams has called for his players to go ‘toe to toe’ with high-flying Forest Green Rovers, ahead of Saturday’s clash at the Utilita Energy Stadium.

The Bantams welcome Rob Edwards’ men - who sit top of the Sky Bet League Two table - to West Yorkshire this weekend (3.00pm).

And, after last weekend’s victory over then-third-placed Swindon Town, Adams again wants his players to approach the clash confident.

He said: “The mood has been as positive as it always is.

“We had a good win away at Swindon Town last weekend, who were in form, and are just looking forward to being back home again.

“Over the course of the season, we have gone toe to toe with every team we have taken on.

“We certainly did that on Saturday at Swindon, and are looking to do it again - against Forest Green - this weekend.”

Having had a week to recover from a long trip to Wiltshire last weekend, Adams feels his side is prepared for what lies ahead from the Gloucestershire outfit.

He is determined to see his side continue picking up points as the season progresses.

The City chief added: “We are the same as every other team in the league, in that we have not played this week and have had a week to recover.

“Saturday games give us a chance to rest up and get ready for this weekend’s game, which we are looking forward to.

“We should really have more points on the board than we do at present, but every win is worth three points and we just need to make sure we are picking up these points.”

Tickets for Saturday’s clash are available, at a discounted rate, until 11.59PM TOMORROW (Friday October 29). CLICK HERE to purchase.
