ADAMS LOOKING TO REPLICATE SATURDAY'S INTENSITY

Derek Adams has called for his side to replicate the intensity they played with on Saturday, ahead of tomorrow's visit of Hartlepool United.

The Bantams welcome Dave Challinor’s men to the Utilita Energy Stadium midweek, and will be looking to return to winning ways after two-consecutive draws.

The City boss was pleased with the tempo his side demonstrated against Bristol Rovers and is looking for more of the same at Valley Parade.

He said: “We can replicate the same intensity we showed on Saturday. We have a squad in place that is capable of doing that.

“We have played with different styles this season. We have played 4-2-3-1, 4-1-2-1-2 diamond, 4-2-2-2, three at the back and 4-3-3.

“So, in this squad, we have got great adaptability to deal with any of the teams which come up against us.

“That is good for us, in the promotion push we are on.”

The Bantams are still undefeated at home in the league this season and are looking to extend that run to seven matches against Pools.

Adams praised Hartlepool’s start to the season, and is wary of the threat they will bring.

He added: “It is our home match. We have done very well at home so far and picked up a lot of points, which we probably should have more of.

“Hartlepool have come up from the National League last year, and are doing really well.

“They played against a really good team in Salford on Saturday.

“To come into this division and get as many points as they have so far is really positive for them.

“It is a game we need to be on top of again.”
