The Bantams returned to winning ways on the road - with a 3-1 victory at high-flying Swindon Town.
Goals from Caolan Lavery, Levi Sutton and Theo Robinson secured the points for City, who moved to within two points of their sixth-placed hosts.
The Bantams made a great start with an early goal from Lavery after just 16 minutes.
A long throw-in from Oscar Threlkeld caused Swindon problems which led to Lavery managing to get a strike away from inside the box to score his first for the Bantams.
City almost doubled their lead in the 35th minute when Lavery shot across goal forcing Jojo Wollacott into a good save.
Minutes before half-time, Sutton doubled the lead for the Bantams. The midfielder was quick to score the rebound from Andy Cook’s shot that had hit the post, after Matty Foulds had sent a searching ball into the box.
Swindon had a free-kick on the edge of the box late on in the half, but it was comfortably saved by Richard O’Donnell.
Cook came close to making it three for City early in the second period. He turned Rob Hunt inside out but his shot could not find the target.
In the 74th minute, Robinson made an instant impact from the substitutes bench, to net his first goal in City colours.
Within minutes of coming on, he bent the ball into the top-right corner for his side's third, as he celebrated loudly in front of the 425 travelling supporters.
Just minutes later, after the Bantams made it three, Swindon got a penalty for a Paudie O’Connor handball. Captain Jack Payne converted to pull one back for the hosts.
The Robins continued to push on in the last 10 minutes but were unable to score any more, as City held out for the victory.
