Paudie O’Connor insists City are “feeling strong” ahead of tomorrow's Sky Bet League Two visit of Bristol Rovers.
The Bantams will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten home league run when taking on Joey Barton’s side at the Utilita Energy Stadium.
O’Connor feels he and his team-mates are currently in good spirits, and are enjoying performing in front of their home crowd.
He said: “At the moment, we are going into games feeling strong and not afraid.
“All of the new players are thoroughly enjoying playing at home, even the ones from last year who obviously never got to play in front of our crowd.
“It has been a talking point in the dressing room and training ground, with just how good it has been.
“With 15,000 there every week, it is a massive help and we have seen that in certain results.
“Hopefully, going into this double header, we can earn six points and get back up there.
“You have to dig in and put as many points on the board as you can, especially during this period.”
The Irishman also touched on his recent centre-back partnership with stand-in defender Yann Songo’o.
The pair have started each of the last two matches together in the centre of defence, with City keeping a clean sheet in both outings.
He added: “It has been very good playing alongside him.
“He has fit in very seamlessly and I am not even sure he has played in back four for quite a number of years, now.
“He is a good enough to professional to slot in and do a job, which he has done very well.
“He has worked very hard. As a centre-half, a big part of your game is communication between the two of you.
“We also have the likes of Oscar (Threlkeld) and Liam (Ridehalgh) to make up the defence and, between the four of us, there is a fair bit of experience and we all have number of games under our belts.”
