City’s under-19s made it five victories in six games with an emphatic 3-0 triumph at Huddersfield Town - in the EFL Youth Alliance North East division.

Three first-half goals were enough to secure the Bantams the points at Town's Canalside training base, and send them to within one goal of the table's summit.

The visitors opened the scoring with 10 minutes on the clock when the dangerous Olivier Sukiennicki’s free-kick was denied by the goalkeeper, however, City skipper Charlie Wood was on hand to strike home the rebound.

Martin Drury’s side doubled their advantage when another Sukiennicki set-piece took a wicked deflection and beat the Terriers goalkeeper.

The Bantams then added, a third and Sukiennicki was involved again, as his first-time cross ricocheted into the back of the net off a Town defender - to ensure City took a convincing three-goal lead into the interval.

There were no further goals in the second period as the Bantams saw the game out to overcome their West Yorkshire rivals.
