BIG MATCH PREVIEW: CRAWLEY TOWN v CITY

24 September 2021

The Bantams will be hoping to return to winning ways as they face Crawley Town in Sky Bet League Two tomorrow afternoon (3.00pm).

The match will be played at The People’s Pension Stadium with The Reds being undefeated against City in the last three games in which they have faced each other.

We have created a Big Match Preview to give you all of the information you need to know heading into the encounter.

TEAM NEWS

City: The Bantams will continue to be without Abo Eisa, Lee Angol, Niall Canavan, Theo Robinson, Caolan Lavery and Charles Vernam due to injury.

Derek Adams is expected to revert to something of a full-strength side after resting players in Tuesday’s Papa John’s Trophy defeat to Manchester United Under-21s.

Callum Cooke could make his 150th career appearance and Alex Gillead could make his 50th league start for City, if either player is involved.

Crawley: Former Bantam Mark Marshall could appear for the Red Devils against City, having signed on a one-month rolling contract earlier this month.

He made his debut for the club from the bench, in Tuesday's draw with Harrogate Town.

The hosts will be without forward Ashley Nadesan for the clash, who was dismissed in midweek.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID

Derek Adams: “We go into the game looking forward to it.

“We both come in on the back of draws in the league, and it is two teams who want to push on and get into those places higher up the table.

“You go in to win every game. My managerial philosophy is to go and win any match irrespective of circumstances we find ourselves under. Training has been good and we look forward to it.”

LAST TIME OUT

The Bantams were defeated by The Red Devils at Utilita Energy Stadium with goals coming from Jordan Tunnicliffe and Joe McNerney.
