INJURY UPDATE: LEE ANGOL AND ABO EISA

8 September 2021

Injured duo Lee Angol and Abo Eisa are both targeting a return to action for the Bantams in October, having sustained respective hamstring tears last month.

Eisa’s injury was picked up in training after he had made his debut for the club against Nottingham Forest, in the first round of the Carabao Cup, before Angol suffered a similar setback in his side’s 4-1 victory over Stevenage.

Having discovered surgery was not required, however - following specialist consultation - both have restarted work on the training pitch at City’s Woodhouse Grove base this week, and are making positive progress with their rehabilitation.

Young defender Finn Cousin-Dawson, meanwhile, has returned to the club after a period away on international duty with Northern Ireland Under-21s.

The Bantams academy graduate made an appearance off the substitute’s bench in last night’s 1-0 victory over Slovakia.
