The Bantams will be aiming to maintain their 100% home record in Sky Bet League Two when they take on Walsall at 3.00pm tomorrow afternoon. 

The Saddlers currently sit 21st in the league table with one win, a draw, and three defeats from their opening five outings. 

This will also be the first time Derek Adams and Matthew Taylor have been in opposing dugouts.

ONES TO WATCH

Kieran Phillips

The 21-year-old is currently on a season-long loan from Sky Bet Championship side Huddersfield Town and is a player tipped to have a bright future in English football. 

Phillps recently netted his first goal for the Saddlers in a home game against Scunthorpe United. 

Brendan Kiernan

The winger arrived at the Banks’s Stadium from Harrogate Town in the summer and has started every game so far this season. 

He recently scored his first goal for the club against Forest Green Rovers. 

Conor Wilkinson

The 26-year-old striker joined the club from Leyton Orient where he scored 15 goals in all competitions last season. 

Wilkinson has made almost 250 appearances throughout his career, and got off the mark for the Saddlers in their 1-0 victory over Stevenage in their last match. 

CAPTAIN 

After signing from fellow Sky Bet League Two side Newport County in the summer, Joss Labadie was immediately appointed as club captain. 

The 31-year-old midfielder has made almost 400 career appearances with the majority of them being in the fourth tier. 

MANAGER

Matthew Taylor officially took charge of the Saddlers after the end of the 2020/21 season and this his first-ever managerial role at senior level. 

In his playing days, Taylor had spells at Luton Town, Portsmouth, Bolton Wanderers, West Ham United, Burnley, Northampton Town, and Swindon Town.

He played in each of England’s top four divisions and made a total of 742 appearances at club level throughout his career.
