Lee Angol is keen for the Bantams to put on a show for the City supporters, ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s match against Scunthorpe United.

City will be hoping to bounce back after a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Colchester United on Easter Monday.

Angol wants he and his team-mates to put on a performance City's supporters will be proud of.

He said: “We want to come out and put a show on for everyone.

“Although Scunthorpe have already been relegated, it does not mean it will be an easy game.

“We just want to make it enjoyable for everyone and put confidence in the club and the team that we can play good football.

“The least we can do is put on a show for our supporters.”

Angol has made three appearances from the bench since his return from injury, and came close to netting the winner against Tranmere Rovers on Good Friday.

The forward feels ready to be starting matches again, insisting he feels fit and strong, and is looking forward to upping his involvement more towards the end of the season.

He added: “I have had three 30-minute spells now since I have been back over the last couple of weeks.

“Where we are in the season means I do not need to be rushed back, but I do feel fit enough now to start a game.

“There is a lot of care at this club and everyone is being managed well with their injuries.

“I now feel the strongest I have ever been when returning from injury, and am just looking forward to playing more games between now and the end of the season.”
