BIG MATCH PREVIEW: STEVENAGE v CITY

8 February 2022

The Bantams are on the road south today to visit Stevenage for a Sky Bet League Two clash set for 7.45pm.

It was City who ran out victors in the return fixture after a first-half hat-trick from Andy Cook put Boro to the sword.

A change of manager at Broadhall Way has also seen a change of fortunes at the club, with Stevenage pushing up to 16th in the table.

We have created a Big Match Preview to give you all the key details you need to know, heading into the encounter.

TEAM NEWS

City: Charles Vernam will not be fit for the clash, with a time period on a hamstring injury not set for his return.

Dion Pereira also remains sidelined, though Bantams boss Derek Adams confirmed Levi Sutton would play at Stevenage.

Abo Eisa and Lee Angol remain tong-term hamstring absentees.

Stevenage: Ben Coker and Jake Taylor are both one booking away from suspension and a key clash with Barrow on the horizon could mean the pair are rested.

Elliot List is a doubt after the striker injured himself in Boro’s New Year's Day fixture.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID

Derek Adams: “Against Stevenage earlier in the season, we played ever so well. We go there trying to create as many opportunities as we can.

“We passed the ball really well last time and got into space, and we have taken in players in January to add to that.

“We have to be in a situation where we are taking the game to them. It is up to us to go there and put the onus on the opposition.”
