A Dylan Youmbi hat-trick helped City's under-19s record an emphatic 5-0 victory over Lincoln City, taking them to the top of the EFL Youth Alliance North East division table.
A first-half treble from Youmbi - as well as goals from Olivier Sukiennicki and Jack Wilson - meant the young Bantams earned a rampant triumph at Riseholme College.
The visitors were awarded an early penalty when skipper Bobby Pointon was bought down inside the 18-yard box, giving them the opportunity to take the lead.
Youmbi stepped up and made no mistake in slotting the spot-kick into the bottom corner.
With 23 minutes on the clock, Martin Drury’s side then doubled their advantage when Youmbi’s left-footed strike from just outside penalty area flew past the Imps’ goalkeeper.
Youmbi then completed his hat-trick with just over half an hour played, when the ball fell to him on the edge of the area before he lashed another left-footed effort into the back of the net.
Things got even better for City just before the interval, as an unstoppable first-half performance saw them take a four-goal lead into the interval.
Sukiennicki’s effort found the bottom corner at the far post, meaning the Polish international found the back of the net for a fourth-consecutive game.
The away side added one more goal in the second period to round off a convincing victory
Wilson received the ball on the left-hand side before turning and striking the ball beyond the goalkeeper
This capped off a dominant display from the young Bantams who have now picked up victory in 10 of their last 11 league outings. They are now two points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand.
