MATCHDAY GUIDE: CITY v SALFORD

15 January 2022

City return to action at the Utilita Energy Stadium this afternoon, where they will face Salford City in their first home clash of 2022.

The Bantams welcome Gary Bowyer's side looking to bounce back to winning ways, after last weekend's defeat to Carlisle United at Brunton Park.

We have put together a handy Matchday Guide - with everything you need to know ahead of the game.

We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome this afternoon's Big Match Sponsor, Commerce Business Systems!

TICKETS

The box office at the Utilita Energy Stadium will remain open right up until kick-off, allowing those without tickets every opportunity to secure their place inside.

Six QR code scanning points remain available around the outside of Valley Parade allowing supporters to scan and secure their tickets with the touch of a button.

Supporters are reminded today's clash is an ALL-TICKET affair, with no admission available on the turnstiles.

When purchasing, supporters will have the option to either receive a physical ticket or an electronic ticket to be sent via e-mail.

This e-Ticket can either be printed at home and brought along to the game to be scanned on turnstiles, or simply displayed on a smartphone or mobile device to admit entry on the day.

Away supporters are now also able to purchase tickets on the day of the game - in the form of an e-Ticket only.

This can be purchased by accessing the club's official away ticketing website, which can also be accessed by scanning a QR code point outside the away turnstiles at the Utilita Energy Stadium

Simply scan this QR code on your smartphone or mobile device, purchase your tickets through our official away ticketing site, access the e-Ticket via e-mail, and have your QR code scanned at the turnstile to admit you.

Supporters will also be able to secure a suite upgrade for the encounter - subject to availability.

This can be purchased both online via the club's ticketing website or at the Utilita Energy Stadium ticket office, right up until kick-off on the day of the game.

COVID 'PLAN B' - CERTIFICATION NEEDED

The club is now operating under the Government's 'Plan B' COVID protocols, meaning COVID certification is mandatory for all those over the age of 18 (UNDER-18s COMPLETELY EXEMPT) in order to be admitted to the Utilita Energy Stadium.

Supporters over 18 are required to have EITHER proof of being double vaccinated - with an NHS COVID Pass - eligible proof of a negative COVID test in the 48 hours prior to the game, OR valid proof of being medically exempt.

Without ONE of the above, supporters will be denied entry to the stadium on turnstiles.

Supporters are advised, in order to avoid delays and queuing times in the lead-up to the game, to arrive as early as possible, and have their COVID certification on hand and ready when waiting.

Turnstiles are open from the earlier time of 1.00pm this afternoon, with fans advised to have COVID certification ready to present to stewards when in queues to enter. Have it stored in your Apple Wallet or equivalent, open on the mobile app/text/e-mail, or ensure you have a screenshot open or that your physical copy is printed and ready to avoid delays.

Supporters are also reminded these protocols mean face masks are now mandatory in all indoor areas, including concourses. Please ensure you wear a face covering at all times when entering through turnstiles and when in concourses, unless you are medically exempt or eating or drinking.

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT travel to the game without valid COVID certification. If you cannot prove one of the above, you will be refused entry to the Utilita Energy Stadium.

ANDY'S MAN CLUB/MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORTERS' GROUP

This afternoon's clash will be held in aid of Andy's Man Club Bradford, and the club's official Mental Health Supporters' Group.

Launched in October as part of World Mental Health Day 2021, City's partnership with Andy's Man Club and very own support group demonstrates the club's stance in trying to help those who need it.

An Andy's Man Club pop-up stall will be offering advice near The Kop and North West Corner turnstiles, while leaflets will be handed out around the ground with details on how to reach out for help and get involved with the worthy initiative.

The club will also use the game as an opportunity to remind supporters that anyone affiliated with the club, of any age, gender, race, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation, can apply for help through the club's official Mental Health Supporters' Group.

BRADFORD CITY AFC APP

The official Bradford City AFC App will again feature this afternoon, and is available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store now.

Exciting matchday-centred initiatives will be implemented once again this afternoon. Supporters who have created an account for the app with their customer number will already have their season-ticket pre-loaded onto the app - in the form of a QR code. Simply scan this at turnstiles to be admitted entry!

Then, once inside, supporters will be able to vote for their Man of the Match via the app - the only way this can be done - which will be announced across the club's official channels.

PLEASE NOTE: The re-introduced 50FIFTY Prize Draw will again not be open today, due to technical difficulties. Club officials are working hard to rectifying these issues as soon as possible, and hope to be able to run the 50FIFTY Prize Draw when hosting Crawley Town on Saturday January 29. We thank you for your patience and apologise for the inconvenience caused.
