City manger Mark Hughes has named his first starting 11 of the season as his side prepares to welcome Doncaster Rovers to the University of Bradford Stadium.

Hughes is set to hand competitive debuts to eight players, including Vadaine Oliver who leads the line. Richie Smallwood, recently named club captain, also starts his first league game for the Bantams in midfield.

The skipper starts beside Ryan East in the centre of the park, with Harry Lewis in goal and Emmanuel Osadebe joining Lee Angol and Jamie Walker further forward.

Three new faces start in defence, with Brad Halliday, Matty Platt and Romoney Crichlow set to make their first appearances this afternoon.

The bench also sees fresh faces as Kian Harratt and Harry Chapman could potentially make their league debuts.
