CITY SOARING WITH LEEDS BRADFORD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

8 June 2022

Bradford City AFC is delighted to announce a new digital partnership with Leeds Bradford International Airport.

The agreement will see ‘Yorkshire’s Airport’ referred to as an associate partner of the club, taking up a number of branding opportunities inside the Utilita Energy Stadium while becoming an official partner of the Bradford City Business Club, set to re-launch this year.

The Bantams will use advertising screens at the airport over the course of the season, which are currently displaying ‘Own The Moment’ 2022/23 season-ticket branding.

Based in Yeadon, Leeds Bradford International Airport is a hub for airlines such as Jet2.com, Ryanair and TUI Airways. Having opened in 1931, it currently welcomes around four million passengers a year.

John Cunliffe, commercial and strategy director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “This is the beginning of a strong partnership with Bradford City AFC.

“As an airport which serves thousands of passengers in Bradford and the wider region, this partnership will provide us and the football club with many fantastic opportunities.

“We cannot wait to see more claret and amber throughout the terminal in the weeks and months to come.”

City’s chief commercial officer, Davide Longo, said: “We are pleased to be partnering with Leeds Bradford International Airport in what is a strategic agreement aimed at increasing advertising opportunities for both parties.

“As one of the largest airports in Yorkshire, and one of the busiest in the UK, LBA presents us with the perfect opportunity to reach a different audience and introduce more people to Bradford City AFC.

“We are looking forward to seeing Leeds Bradford Airport also take centre stage inside the Utilita Energy Stadium and across our social media channels, while also officially partnering the soon-to-be-re-launched Bradford City Business Club.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dan Waddington and his colleagues at Leeds Bradford International Airport for their fantastic support, and we look forward to seeing this partnership go from strength the strength.”
