CITY TO OFFER FREE HOME TICKETS FOR REFUGEES

26 June 2022

Bradford City AFC will offer tickets for home fixtures during the 2022/23 season FREE OF CHARGE - to refugees and those working with and assisting them - as part of World Refugee Week 2022.

As the week draws to a close, the club is taking this opportunity to look back on a special event held at the Utilita Energy Stadium on Tuesday, which saw 3,500 year 6 schoolchildren from across the district attend.

The day, referred to as Boy 87, saw poetry readings and music performed, while it was also announced that refugees and their host families, as well as community groups and charities working with refugees will be able to apply for free tickets for City’s 2022/23 home fixtures.

Boy 87 is the name of a book by Ele Fountain, whose main character, Shif (12), needs to leave his family in search of safety.

Those who believe they qualify for free tickets through this initiative, and would like more information, are asked to apply by sending an e-mail to hello@bradfordcityafc.com, for the attention of the club’s director of operations, Paula Watson.
