Bradford City AFC is welcoming applications to join its inspiring and ever-growing academy structure - with a foundation phase coach vacancy.

The successful applicant will be an inspiring individual who will focus on working with age groups from under-7 to under-12, to help enhance the club's academy coaching programme. 

The role will involve working with and developing the foundation phase programme (under-7 to under-12) from the start of the 2022/23 season, including managing and developing a foundation phase age group to maximize the potential of those they work with.

Responsibilities include supporting the head of coaching and lead foundation phase coach to ensure all requirements of the club’s academy footballers - in relation to their playing, training, education and welfare throughout the foundation phase - is met.

They will also deliver coaching and matchday sessions for Bradford City AFC Academy - aligned to the academy's philosophy and culture.

The successful candidate will be required to work evenings and weekends, while also having the ability to identify talent in the foundation phase program.

Strong communication lines will be built with the head of coaching, lead foundation phase coach and academy manager.

This post is aimed at individuals with the ability to inspire others, develop their skills and lead a group in a professional academy programme. 

The successful candidate will receive regular CPD through the academy CPD programme, as well as education and support to further develop their skills and abilities.

New regulations require clubs to shortlist at least one suitably qualified BAME candidate (where an application has been received) for all roles in academy football that require a UEFA A or UEFA B License.

If you consider your ethnicity to fall within one of the following definitions - Black, Asian or other Minority Ethnic (i.e. from any other ethnic group that is not ‘White British’) - please inform us with your application.

All candidates - on submission of their application - must have DBS clearance, safeguarding and protecting children, Emergency Aid Certificate, UEFA B Licence and The FA Youth Award.

The club will seek satisfactory statements from up to two independent referees.
