Mark Hughes heaped praise on his side after what he considered an almost perfect away showing, following this evening’s victory over Hartlepool United.
City’s win on the road meant they secured back-to-back victories for the first time since August, and Hughes felt it was richly deserved.
The Bantams boss credited the performance as close to the perfect display, suggesting they could not have planned for better.
He said: “I thought we managed the game from start to finish really well.
“We were the away side. You would expect the home side to create chances, but they did not really.
“As far as away performances go, it was as good as we could have imagined before the game.
“We deserved to win the game, and got what we deserved.”
A sell-out away following roared City to victory this evening, with the City supporters housed behind the goal in full voice throughout.
Hughes lauded the travelling band and wished for more of the same ahead of Saturday’s return to the Utilita Energy Stadium against Port Vale.
He added: “It was a great second half. Scoring at that end was brilliant, and I think the fans sucked the second goal in!
“We will always appreciate the support we get. Thankfully, they will have enjoyed the last two games, I am sure.
“I would like to go into the game at the weekend and make it a hat-trick, and get the place bouncing.”
