Supporters are invited to head down to the University of Bradford Stadium on Friday November 18, and cheer on Kevin Sinfield OBE as he crosses the finish line on the penultimate leg of his Ultra 7 in 7 Challenge!
The Rugby League legend will embark on the gruelling trek later this month, covering almost 40 miles per day for seven days, finishing on the Old Trafford pitch at half-time of the men's Rugby League World Cup Final on Saturday November 19.
His challenge will raise vital funds for five motor neurone disease beneficiaries: MND Association, Leeds Hospitals Charity’s appeal to build the Rob Burrow Centre for MND in Leeds, MND Scotland, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
The efforts come after epic challenges in 2020 and 2021 already helped him raise over £5million, and are inspired by his former team-mate Rob Burrow, Doddie Weir and City legend Stephen Darby - all of whom live with MND.
As part of the route, Sinfield will stop off at Valley Parade to complete leg six, where he will be cheered over the line by Darby, before setting off for Manchester the morning after.
The JCT600 Family Stand at the University of Bradford Stadium will be open to all supporters who wish to head down to BD8 and support Sinfield.
Access will be free of charge through the WD Gate on Valley Parade, opposite the old entrance to The City Shop, which will be open from 1.30pm, with Sinfield scheduled to arrive at the stadium from around 2.15pm. A kiosk will be open inside the concourse on the day, allowing supporters to purchase light refreshments.
Supporters are then encouraged to head back down to Valley Parade the day after, on the morning of City's Sky Bet League Two game against Northampton Town (Saturday November 19), and line the streets to cheer Sinfield on as he departs for Manchester shortly before 7.00am.
