They will report to City's head of coaching and player development and academy manager, while overseeing playing, training, education and welfare throughout the YDP.

The coach will deliver sessions and handle matches aligned with the academy's philosophy and culture, highlighting the progression and development of players at the club, while working alongside fellow coaches and academy staff.

The successful candidate must be UEFA A-License qualified and have training in - and experience of - the LFE scholarship programme, while DBS clearance, safeguarding and protecting children and first aid for sport are essential.

We welcome applications from all suitably-qualified persons.

The EFL has introduced positive action measures aimed at tackling the under-representation of coaches and managers from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds. New regulations require clubs to shortlist at least one suitably-qualified BAME candidate (where an application has been received) for all roles in academy football that require a UEFA A or UEFA B License.

If you consider your ethnicity to fall within one of the following definitions - Black, Asian or other Minority Ethnic (i.e. from any other ethnic group that is not ‘White British’) - please inform us with your application.
