Bradford City AFC is delighted to confirm the total of 14,190 ‘Own The Moment’ 2022/23 season-ticket sales - a Sky Bet League Two record for the club.
Having gone on sale on April 14 and remained available until August 31, the early-bird period saw prices frozen at just £198 (Adult) ahead of the current campaign, equating to only £8.61 per game.
The figure beats the Bantams’ previous fourth-tier season-ticket sales record of 13,614, set ahead of 2019/20.
Of the 14,190 sold, a total of 1,835 were to ‘new’ supporters, who did not hold a season ticket last year, with 12,355 of the 12,715 2021/22 season-ticket holders renewing, and only 360 opting not to.
The sales period saw 4,749 supporters take advantage of the club’s popular interest-free direct-debit payment plan, an increase in 42 per-cent on last season.
The club sold 7,557 Adult season tickets, in addition to 1,904 Senior, 1,795 Junior, 1,090 Youth and 888 Young Person.
A total of 687 ’25 Yearers’ secured their place for 2022/23, with the final figure also comprising 269 carers.
City’s chief executive officer, Ryan Sparks, said: “We are delighted to finalise and share these figures, and are extremely grateful for your wonderful support which has helped us piece together what we believe is a competitive squad.
“Sales are up in all categories, and it is particularly pleasing to see close to 2,000 people purchase a season ticket, having not held one last season.
“We are all very proud of our club and our city, and this season is a collective effort as we look to deliver the success we all desire.
“Thank you, once again, for your loyal support, and I look forward to seeing you back at the University of Bradford Stadium tomorrow against AFC Wimbledon.”
