Bradford City AFC will once again officially partner the Bradford Super Soapbox Challenge - to be held on Kirkgate, on Sunday April 30.
With an expected attendance of over 20,000, Billy Bantam will be attending the event, which will be opened by City's Jamie Walker who will release the first cart down the four-metre-high start ramp at 11.00am on the day.
This year's event will see the Bantams launch a joint entry with official club partner, Tiffin, after partnering the inaugural Bradford challenge last year.
The tricky chicane at the junction of Bank Street and Tyrrel Street will be referred to as 'The Bradford City bend’, with a heavy presence of Bantams branding on the day.
One of the club’s representatives will then present the ‘Joker of the day’ cup at the prizegiving which will take place after the races finish, at 5.30pm.
Keep an eye out for the official Soapbox mascot, Sir Sidney Cartalot, who will be at the University of Bradford Stadium this weekend for the Bantams' meeting with Gillingham.
Luke Flacks, Director of Brand, Marketing and Media at Bradford City AFC, said: "After the success of last year’s event, we are looking forward to again supporting the Bradford Super Soapbox Challenge this April.
"Free-to-attend events such as this are a major part of our community, bringing fun and entertainment to families across our district. It is important for us to show our support and get involved in these projects.
"We look forward to seeing City supporters attending what promises to be another entertaining event."
Jonny Noble, Bradford BID Manager, said: "As City celebrate their 120 years as a club, we welcome their support which will be a real boost to the Bradford BID Super Soapbox Challenge.
"It is great to see high-profile organisations like City, and Bradford Theatres - who have become a major sponsor - support city-centre events like this. We will reciprocate by, in turn, promoting the club on the day of the event."
