CLUB TO EMBARK ON CLARET AND AMBER RAMBLE

13 April 2023

Bradford City AFC staff will take on the arduous Claret and Amber Ramble this April, raising vital funds for The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Setting off on the morning of Friday April 14, a team of City staff members will trek 25 miles from the University of Bradford Stadium to the Crown Oil Arena, before the Bantams take on Rochdale at Spotland in Sky Bet League Two the day after.

With a fundraising target of £10,000, the club is encouraging as many supporters as possible to get behind the challenge and provide a donation, to help support a fantastic cause close to us.

A legend in claret and amber, Stephen Darby represented City between 2012 and 2017, captaining the side and making a total of 239 appearances, after appearing 40 times on loan for Dale during the 2011/12 season.

In 2018, he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, and shortly after set up The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation alongside his close friend, the late Chris Rimmer, in order to fund support for families affected by motor neurone disease, and research a cure.

A true icon of Bradford City AFC, Stephen Darby gave this club so much, and we want to give him and everyone else suffering from this terrible condition as much as we can, as we #AttackMND together. All donations and support is very much appreciated.
