Alex Pattison enjoyed his first match at the University of Bradford Stadium and will cherish his first goal in front of the City faithful.

After coming back to win 2-1 against Colchester United in the Bantams' first Sky Bet League Two match on home soil this season, the midfielder was pleased with both the way City played and netting his first league goal for his new side.

“We conceded a goal which was very avoidable,” the summer signing said.

“We were playing it around at the back and we took a risk which did not work, but after that, our heads did not drop.

“We got the ball into Cooky early and were able to play off that.”

Pattison now has two goals in his last two games and does not plan on stopping his goalscoring form.

“I was over the moon to score in front of that many fans,” he added.

“My first home game, and my first goal here. It was a great feeling and one I will cherish.

“We need to get the balance right when scoring the goals and not just rely on Andy (Cook). My aim is to bring goals from midfield.

“It does not matter where the goals come from; me, Andy, Clarke (Oduor), Tyler (Smith) or anyone else for that matter, as long as we are scoring goals and winning games.”
