Bradford City AFC is delighted to announce an exciting agreement with Watt.co.uk, which sees the energy contractor become the club’s official sustainability partner.

The Manchester-based firm has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the 2025/26 season, becoming a principal partner and further supporting the Bantams’ efforts to become more environmentally efficient.

Projects will include the installation of solar panels and EV charging points at the University of Bradford Stadium, as well as collaboration with fellow club partners on further sustainability work.

The partnership was announced on the Valley Parade pitch ahead of kick-off against Mansfield Town on Saturday February 4 - marking the EFL’s Green Football Weekend - and follows work with other organisations such as Green Street and Planet League.

Watt.co.uk’s operations director, Leanne Hunter (pictured above, second from right), said: “It is an absolute honour for us to be partnered with Bradford City AFC on their sustainability journey.

“As we are seeing across the country, with crippling energy costs and reliance on an ageing energy grid which is close to capacity, the necessity to invest in alternative ways of generating and using our energy is essential.

“The desire to lessen our impact on the planet is being driven by supporters, and Bradford City AFC are clearly committed to creating a more sustainable model and achieving net-zero status. Watt.co.uk are excited to help them reach this goal.”

Davide Longo, City’s chief commercial officer (above, left centre), said: “We are delighted to be in a position to formally announce our partnership with Watt.co.uk, which is one we have been working on for a long time.

“This is an important deal which not only underpins our current efforts in sustainability across the club, but opens up new doors for how we can grow going forward.

“We have already held positive conversations with Watt.co.uk on the work that will be done over the next three and a half years, and how this will enable us to become more sustainable - both environmentally and financially - as a business.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Leanne and the fantastic team at Watt.co.uk for their hard work and enthusiasm in getting this deal completed, and cannot wait to see what this partnership has in store.”

Founded in 2000, Watt.co.uk is a family-run commercial energy consultancy which has helped over 900,000 businesses save as much as £150 million on their utility bill.
