Bradford City AFC can today announce its full 2023/24 pre-season schedule, with a visit of Sky Bet Championship side Middlesbrough on Wednesday July 26 (7.30pm) confirmed.
There will be six opportunities for City supporters to see their side in action before the Sky Bet League Two campaign gets underway, including two outings at the University of Bradford Stadium.
Having commenced pre-season training on Thursday June 29, Mark Hughes’ men will face Bury in what will be the first game back at Gigg Lane since the Shakers were reborn, on Saturday July 8 (3.00pm). Tickets for that game are available now, via Bury’s official ticketing platform.
The day after, Sunday July 9, will see the Bantams jet off to southern Spain for a seven-day overseas tour in the country’s Valencia region. They will face La Liga side Getafe on Friday July 14 (7.00pm local time) at the Oliva Nova Sports Center, with packages available now, before flying home on Saturday July 15.
City will then travel to the Horsfall Community Stadium on Wednesday July 19 (7.30pm) to take on Bradford (Park Avenue) in the two sides’ annual pre-season fixture, where the Bantams will look to retain the Tom Banks Memorial Trophy.
Back-to-back home outings against Championship outfits Hull City and Middlesbrough will then follow, with the two sides respectively visiting the University of Bradford Stadium on Saturday July 22 (3.00pm) and Wednesday July 26 (7.30pm).
The Bantams’ pre-season fixture schedule will then conclude at the Crown Oil Arena, where they will face Rochdale on Saturday July 29 (3.00pm), before the opening weekend of the EFL season seven days later.
