Bradford City AFC is pleased to announce that 10 rising academy stars have signed scholarship agreements for the 2023/24 campaign.

Having risen through the Bantams’ youth ranks and represented the club’s under-16s side last season, the youngsters will now join up with City’s under-17s and under-19s for 2023/24.

Pictured top - from left to right - goalkeeper George Lord, right-back Max Murray, left-back Lewis Boney, right centre-back George Goodman, attacking midfielder Alfie Bradshaw, left centre-back Leon Brooks, winger Bilal Hussain, central midfielders Oliver Thompson and Franklin Denison, and forward Eni Rotimi will all begin as under-17 scholars next season.

They will be joined in 2024/25 by under-15s Brandon White (right-back), Zante Rose Campbell (left-back), midfielders Joel Martin and Mo Mahmoud, attacking midfielder Ryan Eli and striker Kieron Mboma, and in 2025/26 by under-14s midfielders Mason Stevens, Edward Baldwin and Jacob Hall, who have all also been offered scholarships.

City’s professional development phase coach, Ryan Farrell, will continue to oversee the development of the players as they begin their scholarships.

He said: “We are really excited to welcome our new scholars for next season - a group of players who have been together for a long time and shown so much promise through their academy journeys.

“They are a very driven and hardworking group, and it is important they continue to show such characteristics heading into their scholarship years, so they can truly unlock their potential.

“Again, it makes us very proud to be providing local players with the opportunity to progress at Bradford City, with the aim of forging a career in the game.

“I would like to pass on my congratulations to all of the players and their families on extending their journey with us. We look forward to overseeing the next steps in their development.”
