GROWING PARTNERSHIP TO SEE MORRISONS FAMILY STAND OPEN

31 March 2023

Bradford City AFC is delighted to announce an expanded, new and improved three-year partnership with Morrisons, which will see the University of Bradford Stadium’s West stand renamed the Morrisons Family Stand.

A main club partner, Morrisons came on board with the Bantams in the summer of 2021, agreeing a ground-breaking two-year deal which launched the Morrisons Community Partnership.

This new agreement, to officially take effect from the beginning of next season, will see the Morrisons Family Stand make its debut when Grimsby Town visit Valley Parade tomorrow (Saturday April 1, 1.00pm).

The partnership will allow the Bradford-based supermarket giant to distribute 1,000 free tickets per season for City fixtures, through designated Community Champions in stores, as part of continued community outreach initiatives between the two organisations.

David Potts, chief executive officer of Morrisons, said: “We are proud to be deepening our relationship with Bradford City at an exciting time for the club.

“Our Community Partnership is creating opportunities for local families to experience the magic of matchday at Valley Parade, and we are delighted they will now be taking their seats in the newly-named Morrisons Family Stand.”

Morrisons corporate affairs director, David Scott, said: “We are pleased to be expanding our partnership with the Bantams, and look forward to an exciting new chapter for Bradford City and Morrisons - both on and off the field.”

Davide Longo, the club’s chief commercial officer, added: “We are really pleased to be taking our partnership with Morrisons to the next level, with a new and improved three-year agreement.

“To have a huge Bradford business and one of the biggest names in the country sharing our vision gives us a lot of pride, and we are looking forward to building on the fantastic work of the first two years of our relationship.

“For Morrisons to continue to support the local community with outreach projects and the distribution of tickets for matches means a lot to us, and we are delighted they will now be doing this with their brand taking centre stage inside the University of Bradford Stadium.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank David Potts and David Scott for their hard work, passion and dedication to making this partnership special, and am looking forward to seeing it grow from strength to strength over the next three years.”
