Kevin McDonald has named an unchanged XI from the side that beat Swindon Town last weekend, ahead of this afternoon’s long trip to AFC Wimbledon’s Cherry Red Records Stadium.

Richie Smallwood makes his 450th career appearance for City this afternoon, lining up alongside Alex Gilliead in midfield who was rested in Tuesday’s EFL Trophy opening victory against Grimsby Town.

Ash Taylor and Daniel Oyegoke are back amongst the substitutes in London as the defence that kept a clean sheet in last Saturday’s 1-0 win over Swindon is restored.

Colin Doyle returns as City’s back-up stopper after making his second debut against the Mariners, as Harry Lewis is back between the sticks.

McDonald returns to manage from the sidelines, as Andy Cook, Jamie Walker and Adam Wilson are reinstated in attack, which sees Chisom Afoka and Tyler Smith and Emmanuel Osadebe make way and begin the game on the bench.

The only change to the matchday squad sees the reintroduction of West Brom loanee Rayhaan Tulloch, after recovering from illness.
