Mark Hughes' men came from behind against Grimsby Town in Sky Bet League Two to earn a point at the University of Bradford Stadium.
After going behind just before the break to a Danny Rose header, Alex Gilliead's brilliant leveller in the closing stages saw the spoils shared in the early kick-off live on Sky Sports.
In a quiet first half, the first effort on target did not come until the 43rd minute where, having had the better of the play, the Mariners took the lead.
Just before the break, a pinpoint cross from Toby Mullarkey found Danny Rose just inside the six-yard box, and he made no mistake in crashing a header home past Harry Lewis in the City net.
The Bantams came out from the half-time break with more directness to their play, following a few tactical changes at half-time.
Bobby Pointon looked lively down City’s right-hand side, creating a couple of opportunities, earning him the in-stadium player of the match award.
All City’s pressure would prove dividends, as they had pushed during the second half for a leveller.
In the 89th minute, Pointon looked to create space on the right, before pulling back for Gilliead on the edge of the area.
City's half-time substitution rifled an effort into the bottom corner from the edge of the box, to make it his second goal in his last two home appearances against Grimsby.
Both sides pushed for a would-be late winner, and the Mariners had a chance to win it in the last second as the ball fell kindly to Rose but his effort flew over the bar.
