Brad Halliday scooped six awards as players, staff, supporters and partners came together at the JCT600 Bradford City AFC 2024 End of Season Dinner.

The City right-wing-back, named in the Sky Bet League Two Team of the Season earlier this month at the annual EFL Awards, took the club’s Players’ Player of the Year and JCT600 Player of the Year awards.

Halliday also scooped no less than four Supporters’ Board awards - presented by East Bierley Bantams, Shipley Bantams (Most Consistent Away Performer), Bingley Bantams and City Away Travel.

Hosted at Cedar Court Hotel Bradford by University of Bradford Stadium announcer Darren Harper, the evening saw a total of 16 awards collected by representatives from across different areas of the club.

Halliday was joined among the men’s first team prizes by Bobby Pointon who, in his first full season as part of City’s seniors, won the Young Player of the Year award chosen by the Bradford City Supporters’ Trust, as well as the Demand the Market Goal of the Season prize for his Good Friday thunderbolt at home to Tranmere Rovers.

Having joined the club in January, Sam Walker took home the Keybury #ProtectMyHome Defensive Action of the Season award for his heroic stop at Wrexham, while second-year scholar Harry Ibbitson won the Neil Matthews Academy Player of the Season gong, on the back of a sensational campaign in which he has scored 28 goals and counting for the club’s under-18s and under-19s sides.

Matilda Fernie was crowned Bradford City Girls Player of the Year before Mia Jacobs won the Bradford City Women’s Player of the Year award.

There were Bradford City Disability Football Club awards for female Jane Jowett, male Mark Dalton and junior Shane Lundy Naylor, while all Bradford City AFC volunteers were invited up on stage and recognised for their efforts, sharing the Bradford City Supporters’ Board Unsung Hero award.

On claiming six awards, Halliday said: "It is an amazing achievement. I am really proud of myself and just determined to finish the season off strongly."

"I was getting up and down all night and that has never really happened before in my career. To receive the reception I did was incredible and probably a bit overwhelming.

"To collect not just one award but six was brilliant, as well as being named in the League Two Team of the Season.

"It is probably clear to see that I love it here and to have that support from the fans is amazing. That is why I joined the club and why I want to be at the club.

"Both fan awards and player awards are valued equally, but from the players' side, they see every part of your playing careers. We spend every day together, away trips, gym work, training facilities, so to receive that award from them is probably the proudest I have been in my career.

"We have found ourselves in a position now we maybe did not expect to be in, but we want the fans there on Saturday to hopefully be a part of something special."
