Graham Alexander was proud of his side after beating a "good team" in MK Dons, as they triumphed as 4-0 victors at the University of Bradford Stadium.

Two goals in the first half followed by another two in the second gave City a resounding win and Alexander was pleased with his side’s ruthlessness in front of goal.

“We have beaten a good team tonight,” he said.

“Four goals, a clean sheet and a good performance.

“It was important that Saturday was not just a flash in the pan result.

“I am so glad that tonight we found our clinical edge in front of goal.

“You can see we have been getting better at it in the last few games, forcing more saves and hitting the target more.

“We encourage them to get into those positions and not shy away from taking the chances.”

Alexander lauded the atmosphere at Valley Parade, and hopes his side can put on more performances worthy of such an atmosphere.

“I think our team has been really connected,” he added.

“For me, after a win like tonight, that is the Valley Parade I have been waiting for.

“They (the suppporters) have been on the verge of it, but then we have not quite got going.

“But once we got that third goal today, you could hear the joy and the pride in their team.

“We need to make sure it stays that way.”
