Sam Walker was "delighted" after the Bantams came away with a 1-0 win against Wrexham at STōK Cae Ras.
Walker was ecstatic with the result City secured, but also appreciated the support of the 1,153 travelling Bantams, stating they were like a 12th player for the team, helping the side over the line with all three points.
City’s No.1 heaped praise upon the resilience showed, especially on Andy Cook, after netting the winner just minutes after missing a penalty.
“I am delighted with that result,” he said.
“It is a really good result, one we have been searching for. I am delighted for the group, and delighted for the fans.
“They were our 12th player, they got us over the line. I am just delighted with the three points.
“We showed a lot of resilience - we have that in the group. It was a result we have been searching for.
“I am thrilled for (Andy) Cooky, and always felt like he would be the guy to grab a winner. As long as we kept ourselves resolute at the back, we always had a chance today.”
The 32-year-old stopper was pleased to grab back-to-back clean sheet for the first time since becoming a Bantam, and was happy with the defensive performance his side put in, at what is a difficult stadium to visit.
City’s player of the match is now looking forward to returning to the University of Bradford Stadium this Tuesday, and will be looking to build momentum at home to MK Dons.
“A clean sheet was huge,” Walker added.
“I was happy to get my first clean sheet last week. I had more to do defensively today, but I am always happy to help the team, so across the board I am happy.
“This is a tough place to come. A lot of balls into the box, a lot of throw-ins, a lot of set-pieces. We defended very well and I am pleased with the defensive performance.
“I am looking forward to getting back home. As players, a lot of people love the Saturday-Tuesday games, especially after a win like today's.
“We have big back-to-back home games coming up, then we have a great opportunity in the cup at home, so there are exciting times ahead over the next week or so.”
