Graham Alexander was pleased with the reaction as his side ran out 3-0 victors against Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium.

After a disappointing performance on Tuesday night, Alexander was glad he saw an impressive showing from his players as they "caused Accrington a lot of problems".

“I am delighted with the players,” he said.

“We came here and got back to doing what we are good at.

“The lads were really impressive with our play and our passing.

“We caused them a lot of problems and to score three goals in the first half was a great bonus for us.

“We could have got a few more in the second half, but we wanted to make sure we did not give anything silly away.

“Games like this are only comfortable if you keep doing the right things and keep pressing well.

“If you take the foot off the pedal, suddenly, it can turn the tide of the game.

Tyreik Wright got on the scoresheet with his first and second goals of his second spell as a Bantam, a performance which Alexander was pleased with.

“I am really pleased for him,” he added.

“I still think there is more to give from him with his sharpness and overall play.

“He has not played a lot of football in the last 12 months; we have to give him some patience and time.

“But even though he was at 70/80%, you could see how dangerous he is today. Two great finishes.”
