Tyler Smith was disappointed to have only taken a point, following last night's 1-1 draw with Doncaster Rovers.

Smith got City’s only goal of the game in the 84th minute to salvage a draw for the home side, after Luke Molyneux had given Rovers the lead on the stroke of half-time.

The Bantams' No.14 was happy to get back out on the pitch in what was City's first game in 13 days, and maintains he is always ready to go whenever needed.

“It was disappointing,” he said.

“We expected to get three points at home, we need to win these games.

“We got a point, but we should be having all three. We will move onto the next game.

“It was good to get out there, I am always ready for my chance to play.

“I was ready tonight and got my goal. We are just disappointed to not be able to come away with all three points.”

Smith was pleased to be able to get on the scoresheet and grab a goal, bringing the Bantams level, and hopes he can take the personal momentum into Saturday's trip to Accrington Stanley.

“It is always pleasing to see your hard work pay off,” Smith added.

“On a personal note, the goal was good. I was happy to get on the scoresheet, but we wanted the win, as we do every game.

“We need to go to Accrington and get three points. We need to right the wrongs of tonight at the weekend.

“We need to work ahead of the game and look to come away with all three points.”
