Lewis joined the Bantams in August 2023 on an initial two-year deal.
Born in 2001, the full-back began his career in Brentford’s Academy before joining fellow-Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2021.
Capped three times by Republic of Ireland’s U19s, Richards spent two loan spells at City’s Yorkshire neighbours, Harrogate Town, before making a permanent switch to West Yorkshire in the summer of 2023.
