BOWYER: 'IT'S A SIMPLE EQUATION'

Manager Gary Bowyer has spoken of the “simple equation” his Bantams face in order to keep alive their hopes of Sky Bet League One survival.

City travel to face Bristol Rovers this afternoon, looking to end a five-match losing run and move to within five points of safety.

Last time out, Bowyer’s men suffered a narrow defeat to high-flying Doncaster Rovers

“At the beginning of the week there was a feeling of disappointment, as we believed we deserved something from Saturday,” said the former Blackpool boss.

“We played well and would have been good value for all three points - but were undone by a lapse in concentration.

“We were happy with the way we defended and kept Doncaster at bay, though we needed to be better in the final third.

“We have identified areas of improvement and worked hard on those since we came back into training.

“There are only five games left and we have to get results if want to achieve something this season. It is a simple equation for us.

“Bristol have been on a good run, putting themselves in a decent position, but they will be under pressure to get a result in front their own fans.

“We just have to focus on what we do and ensure go out there, with confidence, and try and improve on our last performance.”

Supporters who have travelled to the Memorial Stadium without a ticket can pay on the gate this afternoon.
