Matty signed for the Bantams in the summer from Sky Bet League Two rivals Barrow on a two-year deal until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
The 6ft 3ins spent a total of three years in Cumbria, helping Barrow to the National League title whilst on loan at Holker Street in 2020.
Prior to joining Barrow, Matty spent a total of seven years at Blackburn Rovers, enjoying loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Southport during this time.
